Elizabeth (Beth) Fleury, Director

Since Elizabeth was young she had a passion for learning about Haiti. Majoring in International Development Studies at Trent University, Elizabeth’s dream of setting foot in this beloved country finally came true in 2001 when she was 24 years old.

For the next 5 years Elizabeth worked and volunteered in various parts of Haiti, growing closer to its struggles, injustices and understandings of what political, social and economic fabric made this country what it is today.

Elizabeth’s passion for helping others has always influenced her choices in both employment and volunteer work. From implementing the first foreign awareness trip in her high school to working with local community development organizations in Canada and in Haiti, Elizabeth has become an eternal advocate for Haiti and her people.

With more than a decade of development experience, Elizabeth’s heart remains committed to educating, promoting and supporting community development work in Haiti. She currently resides in Orleans, Ontario with her husband and three young children.
